- Oil pulling: It is one of the most ancient and traditional methods which involves swishing a tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth for around a minute and spitting out.
- Avoid sugary foods and drinks: Try to replace white sugar with brown sugar and jaggery which gives more nutrition to your health and avoid white one in large quantity.
- Eat licorice root: Licorice root helps in killing the bacterias from your teeth and helps in reducing toothache as it also provides more strength to your teeth and prevents cavities from causing problems again.
GUM OR GINGIVA PROBLEMS:
Plaque bacteria release toxic toxins, which cause inflammatory processes in the gum tissue and this is the main reason for tooth loss in adults.
- Clove powder: Mix some clove powder with warm water. Apply it directly to your gums until the pain subsides and rinse your mouth with lukewarm water.
- Saltwater rinse: Add some salt to your water and rinse your mouth. Do it often because the salt in the water helps in destroying the bacteria and prevents you from the pain.
- Turmeric honey gel: It acts as the best medicine for bacterias. Make a paste of turmeric and add some drops of honey to the paste and apply directly to your gums. Rinse your mouth with lukewarm water for instant results.
TOOTH SENSITIVITY:
Tooth sensitivity is pain or discomfort in the teeth caused by particular stimuli, such as hot or cold temperatures.
- Honey and warm water: To reduce the sensitivity add one spoon of honey in warm water and rinse your mouth because it helps in promoting oral healing.
- Green tea: Use unsweetened green tea as a mouthwash twice a day to strengthen teeth and reduce inflammation as it acts as an antioxidant agent as it helps in reducing the sensitivity.
- Desensitizing toothpaste: Compounds in desensitising toothpaste help to protect nerve endings from irritants. Potassium nitrate, the most active component, helps to stop the pain.
